This way, if you have embroidery software, you will easily be able to add a name above the “First Birthday” (i.e. Elijah’s First Birthday). The decorative steps are all separate colors stops at the end of the design so you have complete control over your color scheme.

TIPS for lettering:
1) Always use THICK stabilizer. Medium/heavy cutaway or doubling polymesh work well.
2) Go slow.
3) High quality items DO make a difference when stitching on them.
4) To prevent stitches from sinking down, use a water soluble solvy on top.
